About
General
Located in the heart of the Arts District, MINGO Kitchen & Lounge brings style & sophistication to the neighborhood. It is another creative collaborative effort from the entrepreneurs who brought you Mundo, A Latin Chic Restaurant. Executive Chef Robert Solano, George Harris & Mingo Collaso created a decadent & sexy lounge while combining it with an inventive & risqué menu. MINGO is a place to #EATMIXMINGO.

Now Mingo Kitchen & Lounge has opened at Art Square, a new collection of venues anchored by Artifice bar, just across the way from the long-established Arts Factory. Mingo Collaso, a Las Vegas native who also has the Mexican restaurant Mundo in the Design Center, is young, eccentric and hip—three of the adjectives I’d also use to describe his interesting new dining spot.
Next Gen Dine by Prelag Partners LLC is currently providing Mingo Kitchen & Lounge with fast and efficient web point of sale software that improves customer service and arouses the senses of the tech-savvy downtown crowd. The wireless nature of the iPad allows the point of sale to be taken anywhere inside and even out on the patio.
It would be easy to assume that Mingo is another Mexican kitchen, as the compact menu at this hip lounge and patio spot is created by Mundo chef/partner Robert Solano. But the food here is more of a refined take on bar bites with a little Latin flair.
The patio chairs are already stacked when we wander into Mingo—a dark, glam lounge from Mundo-owner Mingo Collaso—but with a word from the bartender we’re welcomed inside. A cascade of glass hangs from the ceiling, and the blue-lit bar beckons with an ample beer list and cutely named cocktails that come with their own hashtags.
Fresh off their success at Mundo, the trio set out on their next project of opening Mingo Kitchen & Lounge right in the middle of the Downtown Arts District. Mingo has recently opened and has already created great interest in the downtown lounge / restaurant scene.
Following the successful debut of his "Latin chic" restaurant Mundo, cool-name-having Mingo Collaso set his sights on the Arts District in downtown Vegas with this intimate lounge/restaurant that mixes a luxe vibe with delicious small and large plates, plus drinks named after things you really wanted to happen to you in 9th grade.
Mingo Kitchen & Lounge let us know they're now officially serving up drinks and bites in downtown's Arts District, just off Charleston and First. A long time coming, Mingo is a sister venture to the flavorful Mundo in World Market Center.
